Neil Hay, M.A. (Hons), LL.B., Dip.L.P.

As a Solicitor Advocate and criminal defence specialist, Neil represents clients accused of serious crimes in the High Court and in the Sheriff Court. He also acts for clients in the Court of Appeal. His specialist knowledge includes cases involving human rights challenges and criminal trials involving special defences such as self defence, incrimination and alibi.

Neil is one of the few lawyers in Scotland to have both the 'Advanced Advocacy' and 'Advanced Trial Skills' qualifications from the American National Institute of Trial Advocacy. He is also a part-time lecturer in law at Edinburgh Napier University and a law tutor at the University of Glasgow.
